PLACERVILLE, Calif. — (May 13, 2022)

Today at 4:47 a.m. EDSO dispatch received a call from a citizen who witnessed the ATM machine at the Chase Bank in Town Center being ripped from its framework while connected to a pickup truck. The witness provided a suspect vehicle description as the vehicle left the area.

EDSO patrol arrived on scene at 4:48 a.m. and could not locate the suspect vehicle in the immediate area. The ATM machine was left behind in the parking lot. EDSO deployed additional resources to the area and the vehicle was found shortly after “dumped” just outside of Town Center on Valley View Parkway. The suspect vehicle involved in the crime was a stolen pickup truck.

At this time there are no suspects known or in custody for this crime and the investigation is ongoing. Thank you to the timely report by the citizen, no money was stolen from the ATM machine.
