El Dorado County May Buy Four-building Complex in Tahoe

(PLACERVILLE, CALIFORNIA) Sept 20, 2022 — County supervisors this week will vote on approving a $7.5 million purchase of a four-building complex in the same area for relocating several county offices.
“Facilities has found that a much more cost-effective model is to find a building in good shape to purchase and perform tenant improvements to create the space necessary for public services,” states the county staff report, after noting the costs involved to rehab the county’s current El Dorado Center in South Lake Tahoe.
At 1111 and 1119 Emerald Bay Road, the four buildings add up to about 17,473 square feet, more than twice the 8,500-square-foot El Dorado Center at 3368 South Lake Tahoe Blvd.
