Mom & Pop Chicken Shop Closes in Cameron Park

(PLACERVILLE, CALIFORNIA) Sept 13, 2022 — Locally owned Mom & Pop Chicken Shop closed its restaurant in Cameron Park last week after less than 12 months of operation.

After a Mom & Pop Chicken Shop location in El Dorado Hills was rebranded, Cameron Park was the eatery’s last remaining site.

The restaurant’s menu featured fried chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, buffalo wings, burgers, tacos and salads. Its location at 3000 Green Valley Road in Cameron Park opened in late 2021.

“Supply and costs of organic chicken were inconsistent and make operating a restaurant solely focused on that product unsustainable,” said owner Nick Dedier in an email on Monday evening. “We love this community and we hope to be able to utilize this space in the future but we have no plans as of yet while we assess the financial realities of our past project.”

Dedier said the Cameron Park location was scheduled to officially close on Monday, but instead ceased operations last week due to the air quality and heavy smoke in the area stemming from the ongoing Mosquito Fire.
