(PLACERVILLE, CALIFORNIA) Sept 8, 2022 — When we have a wildfire that requires evacuations, our deputies patrol those areas to keep your property safe from potential looters. And that’s just what we were doing last night in the evacuated area of Volcanoville.

Alongside our partners with El Dorado County Probation, our deputies came across a man driving in the dark of night with a false license plate and an ID with an address in Auburn. He had a gun with no serial numbers along with methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia; he was ultimately arrested.

It certainly appeared he was up to no good. Thanks to these patrols, which will continue, the man was stopped before anyone was victimized.
