FOLSOM, Calif. — After serving artisan pizzas for three months in Folsom, Flock Pizza is closing its doors permanently, according to the restaurant’s website.

“Thank you for your support of Flock Pizza over the past several months,” it wrote. “Unfortunately, we have decided to close the restaurant permanently, as of May 4, 2022.

We have enjoyed serving the Folsom community and are grateful for your patronage.” It teased that a new concept will be coming soon. Flock was the brainchild of Southern California chef Jordan Davis.

He was previously the chef of El Dorado Hills Selland’s Market-Cafe, and Fish Republic and Herringbone in San Diego.

The pizzeria opened on Feb. 4 at 185 Placerville Rd., Suite 150, with menu options made from cold-fermented and organic pizza dough, and topping choices of Asian pear, prosciutto, arugula and Parmesan cream.

The restaurant did not release a reason as to why it is closing permanently. On Facebook, a customer inquired about the closure on a Folsom community page. Tony Bendana, one of the partners of Flock, replied: “It was unfortunate that Flock closed as it did. Unfortunately our Partner/Chef decided to leave Flock with no notice.”
