Diamond Springs Community Park – Feedback Requested

SUPERVISOR WENDY THOMAS

(PLACERVILLE, CALIFORNIA) Aug 3, 2022 —

What do you like?

Deep thanks to everyone who came out on July 28 for the second public meeting on the Diamond Springs Community Park. It was a really productive meeting, full of great conversations and dialog about all the options. For those who could not attend, WE WOULD LIKE YOUR FEEDBACK NOW!

Three concepts were shared that illustrate varying directions the preferred master plan may take. These conceptual renderings are to solicit input so that we can build that feedback into the eventual master plan of this park. Concept A maximizes the recreational potential of the park and Concepts B and C have incrementally less programmed space.

This project is slated to come before the Park and Rec Commission for feedback on August 18th with plans to bring it to the Board of Supervisors mid September.

Please email your feedback to brian.michaelson@edcgov.us. We’d love to hear from you!

(This park is a collaborative project courtesy of an anonymous donor, the Marshall Foundation for Community Health, Boys and Girls Club, El Dorado County, the Motherlode Union School District, and the El Dorado Union High School District. What a gift to our community!)

  1. Plan B is best. It creates great nature areas and green belt areas. Keeps noise and field lights away from exiting mobile home park plus keeps new basketball fields next to existing baseball field. Wildlife prevention defense is created by allowing road access, paved areas fire hydrants and green fields. Complements Charles Brown School facilities.
