CAL FIRE AEU

(PLACERVILLE, CALIFORNIA) June 20, 2022 — AEU will be conducting another prescribed, live fire training burn on the Bacchi Ranch Vegetation Management Project (VMP) near the town of Coloma.

The burn will commence from approximately 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. each day on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 and Wednesday, June 22, 2022 unless restrictions set forth by the El Dorado County Air Quality Management District or unfavorable fire weather conditions prohibit burning.

Firefighters from CAL FIRE, El Dorado County Fire Protection District, Garden Valley Fire Protection District, Folsom Fire Department, Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, Tribal Fire • Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians, and the U.S. Forest Service – Eldorado National Forest will train together in a controlled fire setting for preparation of fire season.

By working together in a training environment, firefighters will develop needed skills and form cooperative relationships to provide a more effective and efficient response to future fire emergencies.
