(SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CALIFORNIA) June 18, 2022 — Seized Lake Tahoe luxury yacht, seen on ‘Modern Family,’ sold for $520,000.
A gorgeous luxury yacht docked in a South Lake Tahoe marina has been sold at auction for $520,000, an Apple Auctioneering Co. official said Thursday. The vessel, which was featured in the sitcom “Modern Family,” had been seized by the U.S. Marshals Service when a judge ruled the owners owe $848,062 in debt and interest accrued. “It sold to a buyer out of Florida,” said Joshua Scully, Apple Auctioneering director of sales and marketing. The winning bid represents a steep discount from the yacht’s original selling price of $4 million.
