Placerville Airport and Georgetown Airport FULL CLOSURE June 1st – CANCELED

The full closure for the Placerville Airport has been canceled for tomorrow, 6/1/22.

The full closure for the Georgetown Airport has been canceled for tomorrow, 6/1/22.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the drone survey scheduled for 6/1/22 at the Placerville Airport has been postponed.  Additional information will be posted once the survey has been rescheduled.

We sincerely apologize for canceling the airport closure with short notice and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.  There was no way to anticipate the circumstances that have caused the delay.

PLACERVILLE, Calif. May 28, 2022 — The Placerville Airport will be closed on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a drone survey in support of upcoming airport projects.

The Georgetown Airport will be closed on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for a drone survey in support of upcoming airport projects.

The County’s airport engineering consultant will provide on-site engineering supervision of airport safety during the drone survey. Airport staff will be on site during the drone survey as well.
