PLACERVILLE, Calif. May 25, 2022 — Flowers have been planted, preparing the El Dorado County Veterans Monument for Memorial Day ceremonies.

This year’s ceremony will be held Monday, May 30 at 1100 hours at 360 Fair Lane in Placerville.

Included will be presentation of EDC Veterans Monument Scholarships to graduating High School students by the EDC Veterans Coalition, three flyovers of WWII warbirds coordinated by Vulture’s Row Aviation of Cameron Park, presentation of a wreath in honor of those servicemen and women killed in action, a list representation just part of the hundreds of El Dorado County veterans who died this past year, dedication of memorial bricks to EDC veterans both living and dead, and military ceremonies conducted by veterans in memory of those who gave their full measure of devotion to the cause of freedom.
