(PPD)

PLACERVILLE, Calif. — On 05/12/2022 at approximately 12:02 AM, a PPD officer conducted an enforcement stop on a vehicle for a brake light that was out.

During the initial contact with the driver, identified as Sage Engbers (27) from Somerset, a Xanax bar was seen in plain view.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed approximately 7.7 grams of heroin, 2.2 grams of meth and one additional Xanax bar.

There were indications of drug sales in the vehicle, including; new empty pill capsules, multiple plastic baggies, and a scale.

Engbers was arrested and booked for possession for sales.

Other charges of driving on a suspended license and an open container of alcohol are being forwarded to the DA.
