(InEDC) Cris Alarcon, SOMERSET, CALIFORNIA – Please join us for the blood drive in memory of Deputy Brian Ishmael on Friday, October 13 from 2:00 to 7:00 pm. Located at the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, 200 Industrial Way, Placerville, CA 95667. Off of Missouri Flat Road.

We pay tribute to the remarkable life and service of Deputy Brian Ishmael, a dedicated law enforcement officer who tragically lost his life in the line of duty while responding to reports of a robbery. Deputy Ishmael’s unwavering commitment to protecting and serving his community will forever be remembered.

Deputy Brian Ishmael, aged 37, served as a respected member of the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office for 4 years and had previously served with the Placerville Police Department. Known for his professionalism, integrity, and compassion, Deputy Ishmael was a beloved figure within the community he served.

On Wednesday, October 23, 2019, tragedy struck when Deputy Ishmael responded to a call in rural Somerset. While bravely carrying out his duties, he was fatally shot, leaving behind a grieving community and a void that can never be filled. The loss of Deputy Ishmael serves as a stark reminder of the dangers faced by law enforcement officers every day.

Throughout his career, Deputy Ishmael demonstrated an unwavering commitment to public safety. He was known for going above and beyond the call of duty, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His dedication to serving and protecting his community earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the community he served.

Deputy Ishmael’s impact extended far beyond his role as a law enforcement officer. He was a devoted family man, a loving husband, and a caring father. His loss is deeply felt by his loved ones, who remember him as a pillar of strength and a source of inspiration.

In the wake of this tragedy, the community has rallied together to honor Deputy Ishmael’s memory. Vigils, memorial services, and fundraisers have been organized to support his family and pay tribute to his selfless service. The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a blood drive on October 13th, in memory of Deputy Brian Ishmael who was killed in the line of duty.
