PLACERVILLE, Ca. (El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office) — 7.4.23 We want to take a moment to say Thank You to the highly skilled and dedicated volunteers of the Technical Rope Rescue Team. They spent their morning at the Bucks Bar Gorge on the North Fork of the Consumnes River conducting high and low angle rope rescues.
Rope rescue is a highly specialized field of technical rescue. It can involve very complex rigging systems and extreme heights.
The TRT team extends the capabilities of fire-rescue and medical response to confined space rescue, high angle rescue, trench/excavation rescue, under-water related emergencies, structural collapse/emergency shoring, heavy extrication, and damage reconnaissance.
We hope everyone explores and enjoys our beautiful county safely and never needs their assistance, but we’re very thankful to all our Search and Rescue volunteers that show up in any time of need.
If our volunteers have helped you or a friend in the past, we’d love to hear your story and say thanks!
