SOUTH LAKE TAHOE — The latest updates on a mysterious and suspicious death that has shocked the SLT community.
The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, along with the District Attorney’s Office and the South Lake Tahoe Police Department, are leaving no stone unturned as they search for answers surrounding the untimely demise of Jacqueline Cason. Ms. Cason, a 63-year-old resident of Oceanside, was tragically found unresponsive in the Lakeland Village Resort in South Lake Tahoe in the early hours of September 7th.
Investigators are actively working on the case, conducting an extensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding Ms. Cason’s death. Multiple search warrants have been executed as part of this ongoing inquiry, which authorities hope will shed light on the tragic event.
Despite the diligent efforts of law enforcement, many questions persist. As of now, an autopsy is yet to be completed, leaving the cause of death shrouded in uncertainty. According to Detective Sergeant Nicholas Carlquist of the South Lake Tahoe Police Department, the exact circumstances leading to Ms. Cason’s demise are still undetermined.
