Diamond Springs, CA, December 18, 2023 – El Dorado Transit bids a heartfelt farewell to Operations Manager Scott Ousley, a stalwart figure who has dedicated three decades of his career to public service. Scott, who commenced his journey as a Transit Operator in 1994, will officially retire on January 6, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and commitment.

Scott’s rise within El Dorado Transit is a testament to his unwavering dedication and leadership. Starting as a Transit Operator, he climbed the ranks, achieving the position of Transit Operations Supervisor in 1998, and subsequently, earning the role of Operations Manager in 2003.

Scott’s impact on El Dorado Transit goes beyond routine operations. His leadership during the tumultuous era of the Covid-19 pandemic showcased his commitment, as he postponed his initial retirement plans to guide the agency through unprecedented challenges. His adept decision-making and managerial finesse set a gold standard for the department and public transit in general.
