Sporting Goods Retailer Plans Redevelopment of Tahoe Inn on North Lake Blvd

(PLACERVILLE, CALIFORNIA) July 25, 2022 — A Seattle-based retail and experiences company is planning its first California venture at a Tahoe City commercial property and former hotel.
After buying 425 North Lake Blvd. for $3.45 million, sporting goods retailer Evo is planning to turn it and a neighboring property into an Evo-branded hotel at the center of what the company is calling Campus Tahoe City.
“As an outdoor experiences company, there is nothing better than being able to meet our customers where they play,” said Tommy Trause, Evo’s head of new locations development and hospitality, in an email. “And, in regards to meeting customers where they play, there is nothing better than calling home to a location kissing the shores of North Lake Tahoe, nestled beneath gorgeous mountains and grounded in a community that shares an overflowing love for the outdoors.
“This is exactly where we want to be,” he said.
