(InEDC) Cris Alacon, El Dorado Hills, CA – Lake2o 2023 Pre-Meet / Caravan Will start tomorrow, Wednesday, 09/27 @ 12:30 PM, 1156 Windfield Way, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762. They will be heading up to South Lake Tahoe via US-50 around 2PM.

Historically, this event has had adverse effects on the SLT community, such as excessive noise from vehicles, traffic congestion, and large gatherings of vehicles in parking lots and residential streets. To minimize these issues, additional officers will be deployed throughout the weekend with a specific focus on enforcing traffic laws, including violations related to vehicle movement and equipment.

The South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) acknowledges the imminent presence of participants from the Lake2o car group, commencing on Wednesday, September 27. In order to prioritize the safety and security of the community, SLTPD has joined forces with neighboring law enforcement agencies, including the California Highway Patrol, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, Nevada State Police-Highway Division, and the U.S. Forest Service Law Enforcement branch. Together, they aim to execute coordinated traffic enforcement activities until Sunday, October 1.

Furthermore, the City of South Lake Tahoe will be closing parking lots at Regan Beach, Bijou Community Park, and both parking areas at Lakeview Commons from September 27 to October 1. Additionally, the City’s parking garage on Bellamy Court will also be closed due to scheduled construction.

This year the organizers write:

While we are beyond excited for this years Lake2o, we must reiterate the importance of being respectful to Lake Tahoe and its residents.

With that being said, there will be zero-tolerance whatsoever for disruptive or disrespectful behavior. This includes, but is not limited to revving, burnouts, drifting, littering, racing, etc.

If you are seen or heard doing any of the following, you will promptly be asked to leave and your information will be given to authorities. If you notice anyone participating in such behavior, we encourage you all to please do the same.

Additional PD enforcement will be present. Let’s all do our part by holding each other accountable. If not for your safety, then for the sake of future automotive gatherings. Lake2o is NOT the time and Lake Tahoe is NOT the place for such behavior.

Please show your upmost respect to the area & community alike, AT ALL TIMES. Let’s give the car community a good name and promote the true meaning of Lake2o and why it was created in the first place: To create everlasting memories and friendships through a shared passion.
