The fair is implementing a “Clear Bag Policy,” meaning if you utilize a clear bag, you will not have to wait in a “bag search” line. Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and not to exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″. No hardware or decorations are permitted to conceal the bag. One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc or similar) are acceptable. Otherwise, prior to entering the fairgrounds, your bags will be searched, and all patrons go through electronic screening. Staff is always very grateful for kindness and patience during this process.
Those with CCWs may not bring weapons onto the fairgrounds. Off-duty peace officers may carry their weapons after submitting basic information to fair security which is passed on to law enforcement on the grounds.
Under-age drinking will not be tolerated. Those serving alcohol at the fair are diligent about checking IDs to verity that everyone is of age. Anyone caught providing alcohol to a minor or any minor caught in possession of alcohol will be turned over to law enforcement.
Fair Staff encourages parents to photograph their children upon arrival at the fair. In the unlikely event that parents and children become separated, it is helpful for the fair staff and El Dorado County Search & Rescue to have a current photo to help locate the child. “Code Adam” program is utilized at this fair for missing children. In some cases, gates are closed to anyone leaving with a child until the child is located. Reunification with parent and child is supervised by the El Dorado Search and Rescue.
The fair is a family-friendly event. Any behavior that could be considered unsafe, obscene, or offensive will not be tolerated, and staff will ask for said behavior to cease, or risk being removed from the fair.
