“We want to get people up in the summer to enjoy the beauty of the area and what summer bounty we have to offer,” said Pam Harris, owner of Harris Family Farm.
Harris also explained how crops were affected by heavy rain and snowfall late into the season this year.
“We’ve really had winter all the way up through April, which is pretty unusual,” Harris said. “So all our berry crops are running two to four weeks late. All of our stone fruits are running maybe a few weeks late.”
Harris suggested guests check out the websites for the farms they are interested in visiting in advance of their trips to Apple Hill.
