South Lake Tahoe (Dec 21 2023) – In a shocking turn of events, Robert Hienekamp, the Chief Executive Officer of Endowance Solutions, a prominent software consulting and development company based in South Lake Tahoe, has pleaded guilty to willfully failing to pay employment tax withholdings totaling over $800,000. The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Ismail J. Ramsey, Acting Deputy Assistant Attorney General Stuart M. Goldberg of the Justice Department’s Tax Division, and Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation (IRS-CI), Oakland Field Office, Acting Special Agent in Charge Mark Silva.
Robert Hienekamp, 58, admitted guilt for his role in withholding income, Social Security, and Medicare taxes from Endowance Solutions employees’ wages in 2016 and 2017. Hienekamp is set to be sentenced on June 27, 2024, facing a maximum penalty of five years in prison, supervised release, restitution, and monetary penalties. The sentencing decision will be determined by a federal district court judge, considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
