A 19-year-old man identified as Andrew C. was severely injured after a DUI vehicle collision in El Dorado County on Wednesday evening, July 12, 2023.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Green Valley Road, north onto Lexi Way.
The incident involved two vehicles. Josh M., 40, was traveling eastbound in his Ford Expedition on Green Valley Road, turning north onto Lexi Way. At the same time, Carrion, a resident of Cameron Park, was driving westbound on Green Valley Road.
As a result of the crash, Carrion sustained abrasions and bruises to his right hip, and a juvenile passenger also suffered abrasions and lacerations. Fortunately, neither of them required hospitalization.
Carrion’s vehicle sustained damage to the front end, while McGee’s Expedition suffered damage to the right rear.
CHP officers arrested McGee on Green Valley Road. He is facing charges of DUI causing bodily harm, and hit and run resulting in injury. Currently, he is being held on bail amounting to $150,000

Josh McGee, 40, was traveling eastbound in his Ford Expedition on Green Valley Road turning north onto Lexi Way while another driver, 19-year-old Cameron Park resident Andrew Carrion, was driving westbound on Green Valley Road when the two became involved with a broadside collision with each other around 10:30 p.m.
