PLACERVILLE, California El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office Jan 9, 2023 — As the storms continues, we want to share some of the preparations being made behind the scenes that our citizens may not be aware.
EDSO patrol teams are dedicated to evacuations and monitoring flood prone areas in South Lake Tahoe and the Western part of the County.
Sheriff’s Off Highway Vehicle Jeeps are staged and deployed into the field for rescues and notifications in areas most vehicles cannot access and our partner fire agencies have 9 engines, 3 chief officers, 2 hand crews, and 4 Swift Water Rescue teams at the ready to keep you safe. We hope that we won’t need to put all of these things into motion, but we are ready if circumstances warrant.
