DIAMOND SPRINGS, CA – El Dorado Transit is gearing up to honor our nation’s veterans on Veterans Day, and with that comes some important scheduling changes for those who rely on their services. Here’s everything you need to know about El Dorado Transit’s holiday schedule for this special day.
Honoring Veterans on Veterans Day
As our nation prepares to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served in the U.S. military, El Dorado Transit is making adjustments to its regular schedule to ensure that employees and passengers have the opportunity to observe Veterans Day.
On Saturday, November 11, 2023, El Dorado Transit’s business office and dispatch center will remain closed as a mark of respect and recognition for the significance of this day.
Services Affected
In observance of Veterans Day, El Dorado Transit has announced that the following services will NOT operate on Saturday, November 11, 2023:
- Local Fixed Routes: The regular local fixed route services will be temporarily suspended on this day.
- Commuter Routes: Commuter routes that typically operate on Saturdays will not be in service on Veterans Day.
- Dial-A-Ride Services: El Dorado Transit’s Dial-A-Ride services will also be temporarily halted on this day.
Important Information for Passengers
Passengers who typically rely on these services should plan accordingly. This temporary schedule change is part of El Dorado Transit’s commitment to acknowledging and respecting the importance of Veterans Day. The observance provides an opportunity to honor and reflect on the sacrifices and dedication of our veterans.
Normal Operations Resume
It’s important to note that regular services are expected to resume on the following business day, which would be Monday, November 13, 2023. Passengers can then expect the usual operation of local fixed routes, commuter routes, and Dial-A-Ride services.
