EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. (October 15, 2023) – Mark your calendars and get ready for a festive extravaganza that’s returning to El Dorado County with all the sparkle and warmth of the holiday season. The Assistance League® Sierra Foothills proudly presents “Homes for the Holidays,” a beloved seasonal fundraiser that promises to infuse your heart with holiday cheer.

This much-anticipated event takes place on Saturday, December 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and continues the festive celebrations on Sunday, December 3, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Five enchanting private homes have opened their doors, transformed into winter wonderlands, with holiday décor that marries tradition and modernity.

But the holiday magic doesn’t stop there. Guests can also indulge in a signature raffle, featuring an array of holiday baskets brimming with seasonal delights. And for those seeking the perfect holiday gifts, there will be thematic tabletop trees and artisanal goods available for sale, adding a sprinkle of festive charm to your holiday shopping.

Bonni Bergstrom, the President of Assistance League Sierra Foothills, is thrilled to bring back this beloved tradition, which was put on hold during the pandemic. She invites the community to come together, revel in the spirit of the season, and bask in the beauty of these splendidly decorated homes. What makes this event even more special is that your participation helps support the organization’s programs for both youth and adults in the local community.

Tickets are available online at the official Assistance League Sierra Foothills website, with adult tickets priced at $40 and children (12 and under) tickets available for $10. It’s an opportunity to enjoy the magic of the holiday season while giving back to the community.

For those curious about Assistance League® Sierra Foothills, this all-volunteer organization, chartered in 2008, is a pillar of support for programs that benefit both youth and adults in El Dorado County. Their flagship program, Operation School Bell®, ensures that over 900 disadvantaged youth receive brand new school clothes each October. The organization’s other five philanthropic programs are equally impactful, ranging from supporting youth sports scholarships to aiding students who are reading below grade level.

So, don’t miss your chance to join in the merriment and the spirit of giving this holiday season. Mark your calendars, grab your tickets, and prepare to be dazzled by the magic of “Homes for the Holidays.” It’s a time-honored tradition that’s back and brighter than ever, and it’s all for a great cause.
