EDSO Undercover Operations in El Dorado Hills

Due to a recent increase in vehicle burglaries in El Dorado Hills, detectives have been performing undercover operations in several of the apartment complexes during early morning hours.

Here are a few tips to help keep you and your vehicle safe from thieves:

• Check to make sure your vehicle is locked before you go to bed. This can be part of your nightly routine when locking up the rest of your house
• Don’t leave items in plain view inside the vehicle. Thieves will target anything they believe holds value. Any bag could potentially contain valuable items, and will attract attention if visible.
• Don’t leave valuable items inside your vehicle. Items like laptops, cellphones, jewelry and purses are among the most common things stolen from vehicles.

These tips will help keep you safe, and remember to call if you see any suspicious activity.
