The collaborative partnership started when the food bank responded to local emergencies on the Divide like “Snowmageddon” and the Mosquito Fire. Food bank staff and volunteers worked closely with a community group in Georgetown called the Unsung Heroes and had the privilege of meeting Patrick McGinnis and Alissa Cimino during the emergency food distributions for the extreme fire and snow events.
