The Placerville Police Department said that a person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The big rig overturned and is laid across eastbound Highway 50 on its side.
According to Placerville police, the crash happened around 8:25 p.m. and it is estimated that it will take until 11:30 p.m. to clear the scene.
The cause of the crash is being investigated, Placerville police said.
