EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. (October 19, 2023) – El Dorado Hills, known for its picturesque landscapes and thriving community, is about to experience a new addition to its business landscape. The El Dorado County Board of Supervisors recently “Green lighted” the relocation of a card room license, paving the way for an ambitious project that is set to redefine entertainment and dining in the area.
The former Sienna restaurant space in the La Borgata center is poised to become the home of an upscale eatery with a seasonal menu, coupled with an innovative card room offering poker games. This transformative venture will be led by a duo of business visionaries.
Cannabis Entrepreneur and Restaurateur Join Forces
At the helm of this exciting project are two remarkable individuals, each bringing a unique set of skills and experiences to the table. Salvatore Palma, a native of Monterey County and a prominent figure in the cannabis industry, will be heading up the card room operation.
Mr. Palma is renowned for founding the “Higher Level of Care” cannabis dispensary and has been instrumental in the success of several cannabis storefronts, including “Joint Venture” in Carmel Valley and dispensaries in Greenfield and Fresno. His impressive bio includes multi-million-dollar cannabis deals, cementing his status as a trailblazer in the field. Palma sold three of his cannabis stores in recent years for a total sum of $33 million, according to a bio he shared with the Business Journal. In 2021, cannabis company Gold Flora purchased the Higher Level dispensaries, according to a news release.
But Palma’s expertise doesn’t stop at the cannabis industry. He also boasts a history in real estate, ranging from brokerage to development. He’s even ventured into non-emergency medical transportation. It’s clear that his diverse background will bring a wealth of business knowledge to the new venture.
Collaborating with Palma is Angelo Heropoulos, an esteemed restaurateur known for his culinary endeavors in Saratoga. Heropoulos owns and operates two highly-rated restaurants – “Flowers” and “The Hero Ranch Kitchen,” both earning 4 1/2 stars on Yelp. With a passion for new American cuisine and farm-to-table dining, Heropoulos is set to bring a delectable and diverse menu to El Dorado Hills.
A Glimpse into the Future
While there are still several regulatory hoops to jump through at both state and local levels, the project aims to open its doors in the first quarter of 2024, offering the community a unique blend of gaming, dining, and entertainment.
El Dorado Hills’ residents and visitors alike can anticipate a vibrant culinary experience, complemented by the allure of poker tables, creating a destination where luxury, leisure, and cuisine converge.
As the transformation of the former Sienna restaurant space unfolds, it’s clear that this ambitious project is set to captivate the hearts and palates of the community, offering a new dimension to the El Dorado Hills experience.
