After serving students in our community for nearly a decade, El Dorado County Board of Education Member Georgianne Knight will be stepping down from her position. In order to fill this vacancy, the El Dorado County Board of Education is now accepting applications by appointment. The provisional appointment will last until December 13, 2024. As an appointed incumbent, the incumbent is eligible to run for election in November 2024.
It is required that applicants be at least 18 years old and live within Area 1, which can be found at https://tinyurl.com/EDCArea1. To gain a deeper understanding of the El Dorado County Office of Education and the roles and responsibilities of a County Board Member, all interested parties are encouraged to attend the Candidate Introduction Forum. This optional Forum will be held during the Regular Meeting of the County Board of Education at 12:30 PM on July 11, 2023 at EDCOE, Room B-2.
