The Commission strives to attain a balanced geographic representation. Applicants are being sought from all areas of the County, including South Lake Tahoe. Preference will be given to those applicants who are 60 years and older. The deadline for submitting an application is May 10, 2013.
The El Dorado County Board of Supervisors awarded a $2.6 contract to Tyler Technologies. In addition, the Board of Supervisors also authorized $3 million to hire additional staff to assist with project implementation.

Monday morning two people were arrested on drugs and weapons charges in South Lake Tahoe. According to South Lake Tahoe police, an officer who was investigating 29-year-old Ryan Marino's possible involvement in methamphetamine trafficking

Nevada does not want the anti-capitalist Californians killing off jobs for Nevada citizens. So, they are ending an agreement with California for the development of Lake Tahoe. The move to leave the compact arose “from real concerns on the Nevada side about their ability to move forward with job creation,” said Sen. Ted Gaines.
Conservatives often fret that Barack Obama is leading the nation toward socialism. In my mind, that’s an insult to socialism, which, in theory, at least, seeks to uplift the lower classes through greater prosperity.
