Capital SouthEast Connector will create 5,400 jobs – No Notice of Jobs Cost by Taxes

Note when reading this article how many temporary jobs will be created by this infrastructure project.  It does not mention the number of jobs LOST due to high taxes to pay for this project.  Nor does it mention how many more jobs and projects could have been created if the State was not paying blackmail to unions to “keep the peace”.

“According to the new study, the construction project will generate nearly $831 million in regional economic output and more than $23 million in indirect business tax revenue.

Including construction jobs and jobs associated with new businesses and other economic development activity associated with the eventual use of the new roadway, the project is expected to generate, between 2013 and 2035, more than 25,000 total jobs, $2.5 billion in “new economic output” and $182 million in indirect business tax revenue, according to the study.

The JPA anticipates $11.7 million in annual savings by 2045 related to a reduction in congestion and travel delays.”
