Counter Culture: Eat your way to Lake Tahoe and Back

Red Apple Cafe is boycotted by most everyone in the community. The owners protested the concrete divider on Hwy 50 and won. Have you notice no concrete divider where their cafe sits? We wanted the concrete divider all the way up Hwy 50 for safety reasons, espectially the stretch from Placerville to Camino as it is really dangerous day or night. But the Red Apple Cafe, fought and won the right to keep that section of the Hwy unguarded, whining that the divider would decrease business. True, it will, because most tourists are killed when heading West on 50 and try to make a left turn into the cafe's parking lot. Do you know how many accidents have occured due to the owner's greed for money? Just last month, we were all stuck in standstill traffic while yet another accident occured when tourists were making a left hand turn into their parking lot, unfortunately two people died in this accident. NO ONE who lives in El Dorado county patronizes this cafe because the owners DO NOT CARE about the lcoal residents or tourists, in fact the owners are typically killing any customers who come there because of the dangerous traffic condition they created. Red Apple Cafe can drop off the side of the mountain for all we care.
