PLACERVILLE, Ca. (InEDC) The Stage at Burke Junction, July 15, 2023<\/pre>\n
How do you really know if your dog likes you? Do you have any idea what they think or feel about you? Those questions and more are the subject of the world premiere of For the Love of Dog, a new comedy show penned by Bill Glasser opening July 15, 2023 at The Stage At Burke Junction.<\/p>\n
This \u201cpeople-powered, dog-loving story show\u201d (directed by Elisabeth Nunziato of B Street Theater) is inspired by a real dog and will delight audiences of all ages as they accompany Bags, a 169-pound therapy mastiff (played by Nestor Campos) through his journey with three different owners in California. Along the way you\u2019ll meet Eva (Fatemeh Mehraban), Bags\u2019 best friend, a German Shorthaired Pointer who dreams of life and freedom beyond her backyard fence. Ralphy, a pug mix (played by Braeden Harris) who is Bags\u2019 nemesis and arthritic roommate who teaches bags how to avoid trouble by sleeping and eating. And no therapy dog could go without their own therapist, Dr. Lov, a Rottweiler mix, whose excellent counseling and prescriptions are a godsend for San Diego\u2019s hardest working therapy dogs.<\/p>\n
