The El Dorado Community Foundation is pleased, once again, to announce the Hearts & Minds Education Technology Fund grant opportunity for student technology programs on the Western Slope of El Dorado County. The mission of the fund is: \u201cTo provide students in El Dorado County with technology and tools necessary for success in the 21<\/span>st<\/span> century with an emphasis on vocational education and hands on experiences for youth on the Western Slope.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Since its inception, this fund has provided grant awards totaling over $140,000 to more than 85\u00a0 programs. The variety of those awards have included such items as: woodshop tools, technological equipment, electric kilns, electronic balances, high density document cameras and iPads.<\/span><\/p>\n Grant proposals of up to $2,500 from schools and nonprofits that provide \u201cstudent-used\u201d technology education are now being accepted through an online application at <\/span>https:\/\/app.smarterselect.com\/programs\/87194-El-Dorado-Community-Foundation<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 The deadline for submission is midnight on April 3, 2023.<\/strong>\u00a0 More detailed information is available on the website, or you are welcome to contact the Foundation\u2019s Program Officer, Kathy Haven at kathy@eldoradocf.org<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
