Organized by Placerville Friends of Tibet, this cherished tour has been a beacon of cultural exchange for over 20 years, expanding its reach to Folsom in 2024 with the theme &#8220;Cultivating Compassion.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Placerville Highlights:<\/strong><br \/>\nTransitioning to the historic Federated Church at 1031 Thompson Way, Placerville, the monks will embark on the creation of the Avalokiteshvara male deity mandala from January 8th through the 21st. This mandala embodies the universal compassion of all Buddhas and bodhisattvas. The Gaden Shartse Monks will share their rich arts and culture, offering insights into Tibetan perspectives on the Buddha&#8217;s teachings. Attendees can partake in empowerments, astrology readings, healings, and blessings for individuals, families, businesses, pets, and the community at large.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supporting a Sacred Cause:<\/strong><br \/>\nThis cultural extravaganza serves a noble cause\u2014supporting the Gaden Shartse Monastic College in southern India. Founded in 1969, the college strives to revive the Gelug tradition of Tibetan monastic education.
