EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. (November 23, 2023) – In a display of unity and generosity, the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians, in collaboration with the Food Bank of El Dorado County, orchestrated a heartwarming event on November 20. As the community gathered at the Food Bank, a convoy of compassion unfolded, reaching beyond 750 families in need.<\/p>\n
Amidst the spirited line of cars, each laden with anticipation, the Harvest Meal distribution offered not just sustenance but a sense of communal support. Sponsored by the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians and the Food Bank, this initiative was a collective effort, with the community actively participating as volunteers, amplifying the impact of outreach.<\/p>\n
The Harvest Meal, a cornucopia of essentials, included turkeys, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, potatoes, canned vegetables, fruits, milk, local apple juice, and fresh produce.
