CAMERON PARK, CA. (November 3, 2023) – On October 31, 2023, the Sacramento County Sheriff\u2019s Office announced arrests as a result of a two-week Internet Crimes Against Children<\/a> (ICAC) operation by the Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force that focused on proactively identifying and investigating suspects who downloaded Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) to their personal devices and computers. Detectives arrested 12 people in the Sacramento Valley region who are suspected of downloading and in possession of CSAM along with a variety of other charges. Arrests include: MARCKEVIN SOLDEVILL FLORESCA<\/a> of Cameron Park.<\/p>\n

In a resolute effort to combat the heinous crime of child exploitation, the Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force executed a relentless two-week operation that led to the arrest of 12 individuals. This operation targeted suspects involved in downloading Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) to their personal devices and computers. The mission of the Internet Crimes Against Children<\/a> (ICAC) operation was clear: proactively identify, apprehend, and investigate these criminals.<\/p>\n

What is perhaps more disturbing is the sheer volume of evidence gathered during this operation. Tens of thousands of CSAM images and videos were recovered, underscoring the scale of this issue. In one chilling case, a suspect was found to be in possession of over 5TB of CSAM.<\/p>\n

One suspect, Josh Sevilla, 40, of Citrus Heights, was also identified as a suspect in a \u201chands-on\u201d offense with a minor. At the conclusion of the investigation, Sevilla was charged with 12 counts of PC 288(b)(1) – Lewd acts with a minor by force or fear, eight counts of PC 288(a) – Lewd acts with a minor under the age of 14, and PC 311.11(a)<\/a> – Possession of Child Pornography.<\/p>\n

This operation is not just a testament to the commitment of law enforcement agencies but also serves as a stark reminder that crimes against children will be met with the full force of the law. Child exploitation is a grave concern, and efforts like these make our communities safer and protect the most vulnerable among us.<\/p>\n

As the investigation unfolds and the legal process takes its course, the Sacramento Valley Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force continues to remain vigilant, protecting the children from the predators that seek to exploit them.<\/p>\n
