(InEDC) EDSO, EL DORADO COUNTY – On 9\/4\/23 an electric mountain bike (Valued at $8000) was stolen from a house in Serrano. A vehicle was seen on surveillance entering the neighborhood during the time of the theft.<\/p>\n

Detectives were able to identify the owner of the vehicle as being on probation in El Dorado County, and ultimately tracked the vehicle to a hotel in Pleasant Hill. During a probation search of the hotel room the stolen bike was recovered, and later returned to the victim.<\/p>\n

The suspect, identified as Joseph Gardemeyer<\/a> of Pleasant Hill<\/a> was arrested on 9\/21\/23 and booked at the El Dorado County Jail on the following charges: Grand Theft; Possession of Stolen Property; Possession of a controlled substance; and Violation of Probation.<\/strong><\/p>\n
