    This position is eligible for Eskaton’s health benefits package the first of the month following 60 days of employment and Paid Time Off benefits program after 90 days of employment.<\/p>\n
    The starting salary for this position ranges from $31.00 to $43.40\/hour.<\/p>\n
    Position Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n
    The Food Service Director is responsible for supervising the food service staff.\u00a0 The responsibilities for this position include: budgetary compliance, quality assurance, Menu management, department management, overseeing service of meals to residents, food preparation, providing consultation concerning the activities of the food service department in order to provide service as per professional and legal standards, staffing, scheduling and job assignments.<\/p>\n
    Position Responsibilities include:<\/strong><\/p>\n
    \u2022 Provides assessment of the food services department in order to outline the community needs and establish priorities.<\/p>\n
    \u2022 Directly supervises the food service employees<\/p>\n
    \u2022 Must be competent in the preparation, cooking, and serving of general and therapeutic diet meals for residents.<\/p>\n
    \u2022 Ensures quality of food items ordered and served.<\/p>\n
    \u2022 Recruits, hires, orients and trains employees which includes: on-the-job training, ongoing in service education, adherence to policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulations.<\/p>\n
    \u2022 Carries out the approved menu cycle, making the proper adjustments and communication when necessary.<\/p>\n
    \u2022 Orders supplies, maintains an appropriate inventory, and ensures proper storage of foods and kitchen supplies.<\/p>\n
    \u2022 Maintains standards of safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in the food services department.<\/p>\n
    \u2022 Designs, develops, and implements food service policies and procedures.\u00a0 Provides preventive maintenance programs and budgetary guidelines for the department.<\/p>\n
    \u2022 Ensures that proper labor cost controls are maintained.<\/p>\n
    \u2022 Reviews inspection and consultant reports.\u00a0 Recommends intervention and follow-up when appropriate.<\/p>\n
    \u2022 Evaluates dining facilities and equipment needs and provides capital and small equipment recommendations.<\/p>\n
    \u2022 Responsible for ensuring quality assurance. Routinely conducts audits to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency.<\/p>\n
    \u2022 Works in accordance with safety guidelines established by Eskaton with emphasis on the use of proper body mechanics and safe work practices.<\/p>\n
    \u2022 Set an example for staff to follow.<\/p>\n
    \u2022 Is knowledgeable of operation and appropriately maintains Emergency Food Service Plan for community.<\/p>\n
    Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n
    Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n
    High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D.<\/p>\n
    Food Service Management Degree or Commensurate work experience.<\/p>\n
    Serv Safe certification required.<\/p>\n
    Training and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n
    A minimum of three years work experience supervising food service operations.<\/p>\n
    Serve Safe Certification.<\/p>\n
    Job Knowledge:<\/strong><\/p>\n
    Ability to understand and work harmoniously with residents, staff and healthcare professionals.\u00a0 Ability to maintain high professional and ethical standards.\u00a0 Computer proficiency is strongly recommended.<\/p>\n
    The final candidate must successfully pass Eskaton’s post offer, pre-employment testing which includes a criminal background check, drug test, COVID test, TB screen test and health screen.<\/em><\/p>\n
