The tragedy struck at approximately 12:32 p.m., as a motorcyclist, described as being in his 40s, met an unfortunate fate on the serene roads of Placerville. The circumstances leading to the crash were revealed by CHP, which reported that the motorcyclist was unable to navigate a curve, resulting in his collision with a tree.
The victim, identified as James Plympton, was 48 years old at the time of the accident. Mr. Plympton was a resident of Lincoln, California. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) officials reported that the incident occurred as James Plympton was traveling southbound on his 2007 Suzuki motorcycle. The accident took place as he navigated a sweeping curve located to the north of Chicken Flat Road.
