EL DORADO COUNTY (October 1, 2023) – One person was seriously injured in a crash on Highway 50 Saturday afternoon in Whitehall.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 4:15 p.m. on September 30 on Highway 50 and Whitehall Canyon Drive.
Responding crews located two vehicles in the area. The manner in which they collided was not immediately established.
Smoke was seen coming out of one of the cars involved.
One person was critically injured and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The name of the victim was not immediately disclosed.
No additional details about the accident were provided.
An investigation is in progress.
