This heartwarming event revolves around the simple act of giving, and there are multiple ways to participate:

  • Unwrapped Toys: Bring an unwrapped toy. Your toy donations will go to support the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Toys from the Bearcat program, making sure that children in need receive a special gift during the holiday season.
  • Frozen Turkeys: Consider bringing a frozen turkey. These birds will provide holiday meals to families who might otherwise go without. It’s a wonderful way to ensure that no one in our community misses out on a festive meal.
  • $20: If you prefer, you can contribute $20 to the cause. This financial donation will benefit the Food Bank of El Dorado County’s holiday outreach program, providing essential support to those facing challenging times.

A Festive Gathering

The Community Holiday Celebration at the Food Bank, located at 4550 Business Park Dr, Cameron Park, promises an evening filled with festive spirit. In addition to the satisfaction of giving back to the community, attendees can enjoy a delightful array of activities, including:

  • Food and Drinks: Savor delicious treats and beverages as you mingle with fellow community members.
  • Caroling: Raise your voice in joyful caroling, spreading holiday cheer through song.
  • Raffle Prizes: The event will feature raffle prizes, offering a chance to win something special.
  • Photos with Santa: Capture the magic of the holiday season with photos alongside Santa Claus himself.

Join the Celebration

This event exemplifies the true meaning of community, compassion, and coming together to support one another. As we approach the holiday season, it’s a reminder of the power of small gestures of kindness. So, save the date, and join the Shingle Springs/Cameron Park Chamber of Commerce, the Food Bank of El Dorado County, and fellow community members in making this holiday season a little brighter for those in need. Your participation, whether through toys, turkeys, or $20, is sure to make a significant difference.
