PLACERVILLE, Calif. May 26, 2022 \u2014 Tuesday patrol responded to Red Hawk Casino to assist with a report of a suspicious subject who was sleeping in his vehicle.<\/p>\n
Deputies arrived and identified the subject as 33-year-old Jonathan Roy Montgomery from Vallejo, CA<\/strong>. A search of Montgomery’s vehicle revealed a lower receiver for a Glock handgun with a loaded magazine, as well as additional parts and pieces to a firearm. A search of Montgomery’s person yielded packages containing suspected fentanyl, which was later weighed to be approximately 50 grams. Other property seized as evidence was more than $1,600 in cash, a digital scale, and 9mm ammunition.<\/p>\n
Upon the completion of the investigation, Montgomery was arrested for multiple charges to include: possession of narcotic controlled substance for sale (Fentanyl), possession of controlled substance for sale. (Methamphetamine), and prohibited person own, or possess ammunition.<\/p>\n
Montgomery was booked into the El Dorado County Jail and he currently remains in custody.<\/p>\n
