May 21, 2022 \u2014 <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Respected taxpayer advocate, retired Judge Steven Bailey announced today that he has received his third endorsement from respected Taxpayer Watchdog organizations for California State Senate in the newly created 4<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Senate District. The first SD4 candidate to sign the Howard Jarvis \u201cStand Up For Taxpayers\u201d pledge, <\/span><b>Steve Bailey has now earned the endorsements of the <\/b><b><i>California Taxpayer Protection Committee, Central Valley Taxpayers Association, <\/i><\/b><b>and <\/b><b><i>Gold Country Taxpayers Association<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After practicing law in the private sector for 17 years, Judge Bailey was elected twice to the California Superior Court in El Dorado County where he served from 2009 to 2017.\u00a0 Judge Bailey retired from the Superior Court Bench in 2017 to become the Republican Nominee for Attorney General winning 25 of California\u2019s 58 counties including most of the Conservative leaning new 4th Senate District.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prior to earning his law degree, Judge Bailey (Ret.) helped Governor Deukmejian root out government waste, fraud, and abuse while serving as the Deputy Director in the Office of Legislation of the California Department of Social Services and spotted wasteful spending in legislation as Chief of Staff for Senator John Briggs.
