(May 16, 2022) \u2014 Cole Swindell paused to remember Deputy Austin Ramsey during his song, &#8220;You Should Be Here&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>There were no dry eyes to be found after\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coleswindell.com\/stereotype\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cole Swindell<\/a>\u00a0took the stage at Country in the Park.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>He sang his song &#8220;You Should Be Here,&#8221; and opened the lyrics with a dedication to El Dorado County Deputy Austin Ramsey,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.abc10.com\/article\/news\/local\/deputy-austin-ramsey\/103-ca8c07bf-bb8c-4a4f-8bff-1a706d3c256a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">who died of an apparent suicide last October<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>&#8220;You Should Be Here&#8221; is a song about losing someone close to you and wishing they were there for life&#8217;s amazing moments.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>For the whole performance, Swindell also wore a bracelet with Ramsey&#8217;s name on it. He even took the opportunity to talk to Deputy Ramsey&#8217;s brother Coleton, his family and friends. Coleton said Cole Swindell was one of the most genuine people he ever met.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>Ramsey&#8217;s family and friends were in the crowd and videoed the moment as it happened in front of thousands of people. For Ramsey&#8217;s family, it meant the world to know his story touched thousands of people at once.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\">\n<p>Ramsey was 25 years old, and had served in Afghanistan.
