Weart accepted and vowed to work in a \u201cpartnership for change\u201d with Gillaspie to fix what is broken inside the Sheriff\u2019s Office and institute a proven community oriented policing model. The Gillaspie\/Weart \u201cPartnership For Change\u201d pact came Saturday during a campaign fundraising barbecue at Cazadd Cellars near Jackson. Weart and Gillaspie both have deep community roots, served on local city councils, coached youth sports, and worked together in the Amador County Sheriff\u2019s Office for over twenty years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPatrick Weart and I have served together for over 20 years,\u201d said Ryan Gillaspie, \u201cwe both recognize the need for our Sheriff\u2019s Office to rebuild it\u2019s lost trust with the community, restore departmental morale to stop hemorrhaging expensively trained personnel, and bring our emergency response planning into compliance with State regulations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCan you folks think of anyone more qualified to help bring a community policing model to our Sheriff\u2019s Office?\u201d asked Gillaspie to great applause, \u201cHow about it Patrick? Will you serve as our undersheriff in a partnership for change?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYES! I will serve,\u201d accepted Patrick Weart to additional applause, \u201cthroughout this campaign Ryan and I have been on the same page identifying the serious management problems in our Sheriff\u2019s Office and how to best fix them\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re going to see Ryan and I work together, both committed to a partnership for positive change within our Sheriff\u2019s Office,\u201d pledged Weart to the excited audience.<\/p>\n<p>No candidate received over 50% of the June Primary vote forcing a November General Election run-off between the top-two finishers. Gillaspie and Weart combined for 54.36% of the June Primary votes for Sheriff.<\/p>\n<p>Gillaspie\u2019 s growing endorsement list includes several watchdog organizations and community leaders including; Gun Owners of California, California Taxpayer Protection Committee, Gold Country Taxpayers Association, Senator Rico Oller (Ret.), Supervisors Brian Oneto and Jeff Brown, retired Judge David Richmond, former Police Chief Scott Morrison and past Sheriff\u2019s Candidate Patrick Weart.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The election will be held by postal ballot October 10 through November 8 of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cCan you folks think of anyone more qualified to help bring a community policing model to our Sheriff\u2019s Office?\u201d asked Gillaspie to great applause, \u201cHow about it Patrick?
