(PLACERVILLE, CALIFORNIA) June 30, 2022 \u2014 A heat wave is headed to El Dorado County today and is expected to stay in place throughout the week.<\/p>\n
By Saturday temperatures predicted to reach as high as 115 degrees.<\/p>\n
Area Forecasts Follows below<\/em><\/p>\n
NOAA has issued a “…EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING…”<\/h3>\n
* WHAT…An extended period of dangerously hot conditions with record temperatures up to 115 possible.<\/p>\n
* WHERE…Sacramento Valley, northern San Joaquin Valley, Delta, and adjacent foothills and mountains.<\/p>\n
* WHEN…From Saturday morning through Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n
* IMPACTS…Extreme heat will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities over the holiday weekend.<\/p>\n
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Hottest days forecast to occur Sunday and Monday. There will be limited overnight relief from the heat, with lows in the upper 60s to mid 80s.<\/p>\n
* Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances. Car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.<\/p>\n
