The officer initiated a traffic stop and a records check revealed that the registration was expired over 9 months.<\/p>\n<p>The driver Zachary Sadler, 29 of Mount Aukum, also had a suspended driver\u2019s license and in an attempt to conceal the expired registration, a 2022 tag was located on the rear license plate. A tow truck was called to tow the vehicle for the violation. A vehicle inventory was conducted and 10 glass pipes commonly used for narcotics ingestion and several expended .22 caliber shell casings were discovered. A further search revealed a Ruger .22 caliber handgun with 5 rounds in the cylinder. This firearm was within reach of Sadler. A records check on the firearm showed it was not registered to Sadler. Multiple rounds of various calibers of ammunition were found as well as 4 metal \u201cninja stars\u201d with sharpened edges.<\/p>\n<p>Sadler was charged with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>22850(A) PC \u2013 Misdemeanor. Carrying a loaded firearm on\/in person\/vehicle in public. 25400(a)(1) PC<\/li>\n<li>Misdemeanor. Carry concealed weapon in vehicle. 4463(A)(1) VC<\/li>\n<li>Misdemeanor. Forge\/Alter Vehicle Registration. 25850(C) (6)<\/li>\n<li>Felony. Carry loaded handgun, not registered owner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sadler was booked into the El Dorado County Jail with a bail of $50,000<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Search revealed a Ruger .22 caliber handgun with 5 rounds in the cylinder.
