{"id":156,"date":"2022-04-27T07:31:59","date_gmt":"2022-04-27T07:31:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.inedc.com\/22\/?p=156"},"modified":"2022-04-30T01:43:34","modified_gmt":"2022-04-30T01:43:34","slug":"auditor-harn-decline-involvement-in-negotiations-due-to-possible-conflict","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.inedc.com\/22\/04\/27\/auditor-harn-decline-involvement-in-negotiations-due-to-possible-conflict\/","title":{"rendered":"Auditor Harn Declines Involvement In Negotiations Due To Possible Conflict"},"content":{"rendered":"<pre>(Media Release)<\/pre>\n<p>PLACERVILLE, CALIFORNIA &#8211; <strong>El Dorado County Auditor-Controller Joe Harn informed the Board of Supervisors last week he will decline the invitation to participate in closed-door development agreement negotiations regarding the General Plan amendment proposed by Parker Development Company for the Central El Dorado Hills Specific Plan.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cBack in 2017 and 2018 I did participate in (development agreement) negotiations for this drastic change to our voter approved General Plan, but I did so based on the condition that the El Dorado Hills Community Services District have a seat at the table,\u201d Harn states in a news release. \u201cThe meeting invitations that I have received in 2022 exclude the CSD.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Harn also maintains in his statement that he and the Board of Supervisors are \u201cnot on the same page \u2026 regarding large west county housing projects.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cIn 2019 I appealed the county\u2019s approval of a Serrano Associates\u2019 subdivision on Bass Lake Road because road improvements were, and are still, needed and because a 30-year-old (development agreement) park construction requirement was not being enforced,\u201d he notes. \u201cThe board ignored my appeal. Now, it is 2022, and a park that was promised to the public in 1989 has still not been built.
