Deputy Brian “Ish” Ishmael Memorial Highway signs Unveiled

(PLACERVILLE, CALIFORNIA) June 26, 2022 — Today at 10:00 am one of the Deputy Brian “Ish” Ishmael Memorial Highway signs was unveiled in front of the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff D’Agostini and Senator Brian Dahle spoke at the event in front of “Ish’s” family, friends, and his law enforcement family. The signs are being mounted on both eastbound and westbound Highway 50 at Missouri Flat Road today.

The signs are located in an area where “Ish” drove regularly as an El Dorado County Deputy Sheriff and a Placerville Police Officer. As you drive by these signs, please remember Deputy Brian “Ish” Ishmael, and keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

We will never forget you “Ish”.

  1. I think of Officer “Ish” all of the time. I had the privilege of bumping into his dad at Safeway about a year after the tragedy. We had a wonderful, and emotional, visit. These signs are in a perfect location. Hugs to the family.
